2020 was the year that forced us to stop, reconsider our priorities, and really dig into our inner selves. It was a year like no other, yes, but it was also a year that we witnessed the flourishing of a new way to experience life. It was a year people started embracing their inner passions and frustrated dreams to get through the heavy load that came along with the pandemic. Our hidden obsessions were awakened by our necessity to survive. The paintings in the “Dormant Obsessions” series are a tribute to all those new gardeners, cooks, first-time pet owners, smokers, hairdressers, cleaners, drinkers... a tribute to us.
